Urban Science and Technology Innovation Development Report in China (2025) provided by Capital Institute of Science and Technology Development Strategy,CISTDS, is a significant work co-produced by CISTDS, Center for Urban and Competitiveness Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the China Institute of Innovation and Development of Beijing Normal University. It has been published for eight years, leading to the publication of seven research works. This report constructs an “Index System for the Development of Urban Science and Technology Innovation in China,” which comprehensively assesses the level of science and technology innovation in 288 cities at and above prefecture-level and provides a comprehensive analysis of the current status and trends of urban science and technology innovation in China, a panoramic view of the inherent laws and logic of urban science and technology innovation. With new urban productivity as its focal point, it presents reflections and suggestions.
